Below you can view footage of E-Bound alarms in action, deterring would be trespassers and metal thieves. You can also see how quick it can be for someone to access your roof and then disappear from the scene.
We were contacted by the customer on April 15, 2024 to advise that they had found some lead that had been disturbed on the church roof. The alarm signals show multiple strobe activations for the evening of April 11, 2024.
The customer was emailed by the Alarm Receiving Centre to advise of the strobe activations.
E-Bound engineers attended the same day and found a small section of lead had been tampered with and removed.
This is considered a genuine save as the perpetrators vacated the area and no more lead was removed preventing significant loss.
Customer contacted us via email on February 10, 2024 to report they had found a PIR sensor with the cover removed and laying on the roof.
We received tamper activations from the roof alarm on February 4, 2024 at 19:07 & 19:13.
E-Bound engineers attended on February 12 to replace the damaged sensor and to ensure the alarm is functioning correctly.
E-Bound engineers attended site on December 14, 2023 following intruder activations. They were informed by customer that the village hall had a lead theft on December 13, 2023 at 06:30.
The engineers reported that there had been activity on the church roof and a small amount of lead had been lifted. No lead or metal was taken from site, this is considered a genuine save.
Following the annual service of the roof alarm
E-Bound engineers reported that x1 PIR sensor had been found damaged. This was deemed third party damage by the engineers. Signals from the alarm show that x5 tampers were received from the alarm on March 10th, 2023 and the customer was contacted by phone and by email via the alarm receiving centre.
No metal was lifted, tampered with or taken from site. This is considered a save.
We were contacted by the customer following tamper activations on Aug 27th, 2023.
E-Bound engineers attended September 4th, 2023 and found that x2 sensors had been damaged.

Nothing was taken or removed from the church. This is considered a genuine save.
We received x2 tamper signals, proceeded by a strobe activation on June 16th, 2023 from the church roof alarm. E-Bound engineers attended the church on July 6th, 2023 to complete the annual service.
On arrival they found x1 damaged PIR Sensor, that was deemed to be 3rd party damage.
The engineers replaced the damaged sensor.
This is considered a save as no lead was lifted, interfered with or taken from site.
Customer called in on April 21st 2023 to advise they had noticed some lead had been rolled on the roof. Customers alarm had x2 strobe activations and an intruder activation on the afternoon of April 20th, 2023.
The alarm receiving center informed the customer of the activations via email and via phone.
We are still awaiting and update from the customer. No lead was not taken from site, this is considered a genuine save.
We were informed by an E-Bound engineer on April 5th 2023 following his attendance for the annual roof alarm service, that a section of Lead had been peeled and lifted from the church roof, but was not taken off site.

A Strobe light activation and Intruder activation were received by the Alarm Receiving Centre on March 30th, 2023. This site has 24h response officers and an attendance report was sent to the nominated church contact via email. This is considered a genuine save.
A team of our engineers attended the church on 2nd March 2023 to complete the annual roof alarm service. The engineer informed us of two sensors that had been damaged with the internal components hanging out of the main casing.
Having looked at the alarm signals from this system, the alarm was experiencing numerous suspicious strobe signals in October 2022. The customer received emails about the strobe signals from our Alarm Receiving Centre.
A small section of lead had been peeled back, but no lead was taken. This is considered a save.
We were contacted by the customer following multiple tamper activations from their roof alarm on the 18th January, 2023.
E-Bound engineers attended on 19th January and found that x1 PIR detector had been damaged, with the casing of the detector laying on the roof below the detector. Partial foot prints and signs of climbing on a drain pipe were seen on the church.
This is a save as the alarm activated and no lead was taken, disturbed or lifted on the roof. This is third party damage. No contactors were on site.
Sensor had been damaged and the lead flashing directly below the sensor had been peeled back. No lead was taken and the perpetrator(s) vacated the site.
We were informed by the church warden that there had been an attempted theft from the church the early hours of Monday 14 November 2022.
The customer stated that the alarm ‘Worked perfectly’ and did its job as the perpetrators fled the scene.
Following a response officer callout on March 23, 2024 for a tamper activation a visit was arranged for E-Bound engineers to attend site. During the visit on March 29, 2024 x2 PIR sensors showed attempts had been made to remove them from the wall and some small patches of lead were observed to have been touched.
E-Bound engineers made good the damaged sensors. This is considered a genuine save as no lead or metal was damaged, lifted or taken from site. The alarm caused the perpetrators to vacate the area.
E-Bound engineers attended to complete the annual service of the roof alarm on January 23, 2024. The engineers reported light peeling of lead in the area where the alarm had triggered in December 2023.
Lead had been slightly peeled but nothing had been removed and taken of site.
This is considered a genuine save as the alarm prevented a theft.
Customer contacted us on December 4, 2023 to ask about activations as they had discovered dust in the church, that had fallen from ceiling, suggesting persons had been on the roof.
On inspection they discovered that a PIR sensor had been damaged as well as some roof slates.
E-Bound engineers attended the same day and discovered x3 PIR sensors had been damaged and removed from their mountings. PIR sensors were replaced. No lead or metal was damaged, lifted or taken. This is considered a genuine save.
We were informed via email by the Churches Conservation Trust on October 30, 2023 that following x3 intruder activations on October 21, 2023, the roof of the church was checked the following day by locals and they found some lead flashing & lead sheet had be interfered with and pulled out of position.
This is considered a genuine save as no lead or metal was removed from site and the alarm activation caused the perpetrators to vacate the area.
We received a strobe activation then an intruder activation at the church on 23rd June 2023 at 21:53hs. The church has night-time hours response officers who attended and a report was sent to the customer advising they check the church grounds and roof. Customer emailed to say they had someone go up on the roof and check it and discovered a damaged sensor.
We continued to receive strobe and intruder activations from the alarm.
An E-Bound engineer attended the church on Friday 21st July, 2023 and found x1 PIR sensor had been smashed off the wall. PIR was replaced and the rest of the alarm components checked. This is a save as no lead or metal was lifted or taken from the roof.
Customer informed us on May 18th 2023 that following multiple tamper activations and them being informed by the ARC, that they have found signs of intrusion and some lead flashing had been rolled on the roof of the church, but not taken. E-Bound engineers attended the church on May 18th 2023 to ensure that the alarm was working in its normal state.
We were informed by an E-Bound engineer on April 13, 2023 following his attendance for the annual roof alarm service, that a PIR sensor on the roof had been damaged.
Looking at the activations for the site shows that the last activations from the alarm was September 17, 2022, where the customer was sent a response officer report following the tamper and intruder activations and a response officer attendance. It is unclear if the customer checked the roof of the church following the activations in September 2022.
We were contacted by the customer on March 28th reporting that they had found several PIRs had been smashed and were on the floor. On inspection the customer has informed us that there has been a lead theft from the roof of the Chancel.
An E-Bound engineer attended and replaced 16 PIR sensors that had been damaged. Lead had been peeled, but none was taken from site. The perpetrators were captured on CCTV exiting the vicinity of the church after the alarm activated. The is considered a save.
Following a revisit by our engineers on 1st March 2023, three detectors were found to have been damaged on the roof.
The E-Bound engineer reported a small amount of lead flashing that had been pulled up, but no Lead was actually taken.
The customer contacted us following the revisit and we assured her that alarm worked and did its job. This is considered a save.
One of our engineers visited the church to complete the annual service in May 2022.
They informed us that during their visit, after gaining access to the roof, they discovered that one of the rain hoppers was not in its original placement and was instead found lying on the roof.
Upon investigation, no lead was stolen from the roof and this is considered a thwarted attempted theft.
This was the third church in the Sheffield area that fell victim to intruders within a space of two months.
The church contacted us after receiving a response officer report on August 12th, 2022. A team of E-Bound engineers attended the church on August 16th, 2022.
Lead had been tampered with in two locations on north side of the roof. In both cases the tab had been disturbed on the lead sheet, but no lead had been taken or removed from the roof.
This was a genuine activation and considered a save by the alarm system.
