iPad and valuables stolen from church

Valuable items were stolen from a west Dorset town church.

Burglars broke into St Mary's Church in Beaminster overnight between Monday July 17 and Tuesday, July 18 and stole an iPad, microphones and battery chargers, Bridport Police say.


Thieves also caused damage to a filing cabinet they were stored in, police report.

St Mary's Church tower stands 100 feet high and is a wonderful example of Perpendicular Gothic style, with 41 crocketed pinnacles, and canopied niches holding statues of saints and Biblical scenes.
